The Grande Prairie Public School District #2357 is committed to fostering a learning community in which every student succeeds.  English, French Immersion and special education programs are offered.  Crystal Park School provides programs for Kindergarten to Grade 9 along with comprehensive services for children with special needs.  There are five Kindergarten to Grade 6, three Kindergarten to Grade 9, one Grade 7 to 9, one Grade 10 to 12 and one outreach school in the Public School system.

The Grande Prairie and District Catholic Schools serve the communities of Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Nesmith, Spirit River and Fairview, striving for academic excellence and religious values.  Their programs include special education and French Immersion.  Within the City limits, there is one Kindergarten to Grade 6 schools, three Kindergarten to Grade 8 schools, one French Immersion Kindergarten to Grade 9 schools and one Grade 9 to 12 and French Immersion Grade 10 to 12 high school.  The Catholic School District also offers an outreach program for those in Grade 10 and less than 20 years of age.

Hillcrest Christian School offers an excellent K-12 academic program. Certified teachers give instruction according to the Alberta curriculum with an emphasis on reading and writing skills, science and math.  An excellent student/teacher ratio is maintained with the largest class having 15 students. Dance, forestry and computer classes are a few of the complementary courses offered.  As well, each classroom has its own computers for student/teacher use.   A strong focus is placed on guiding the students in personal character development using Biblical principles and ongoing home/school communication.
