Recycling Program
Aquatera Utilities manages the recycling programs for the Grande Prairie area. There are seven household recycle depots located throughout the city. Cardboard, mixed paper, plastic, glass and tin are accepted.

The Eco Centre is the main recycling depot. It services both residents and commercial customers. The Eco Centre has bins with larger openings for faster unloading. This site is staffed to help or answer your recycling questions. The following are accepted at this site:
- Vehicle batteries
- Paint (for disposal or exchange)
- Household hazardous waste and used oil
- Electronic waste
- Grass clippings, leaves and branches

Monday to Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Statutory Holidays 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
November 1 to March 31
Monday to Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Friday and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
