According to Statistics Canada, the largest percentage increases in median total family income occurred mainly in census metropolitan areas (CMA) and census agglomerations associated with primary industries, particularly in Alberta and British Columbia. Among census agglomerations, Grande Prairie (+8.6%) was rated as having the largest increase in median total family income for couple families in Canada.
